Hey all!!!

So after a wonderful breakfast at a cafe and then a church service I headed out to the Anchorage Market. Went shopping and bought souviners..mostly for myself but a few for you guys! After that we headed out to Wasilla to Iditarod Headquarters. It is so AMAZING!!!! We met a bunch of other teachers and got started getting to know eachother. We got a behind the scenes tour of the headquarters and not a lot of people get to do this so I am way lucky! I spent some more money and am getting more excited about meeting people on Saturday when they sign up for the 2009 Iditarod! We all got together and headed out to a nice restaurant for a yummy Italian meal and then headed to Dream A Dream. (www.vernhalter.com)

After we got there we did an introduction of ourselves for everyone and then we finally got to play!!! Oh my goodness the puppies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so fun. I went from being clean to being covered in mud. These dogs just jump all over you and they are so excited to see you and play. I am a total mud puddle but it is all in good fun. Well, we are heading to bed since it is after 11 and we have to get up at 7 to feed/walk/train the dogs!

Friday...

Woo Hoo!!! It is almost here! My flight leaves in a little over 2 hours. I am sitting on Jenni's balcony at her condo in Chicago. Great temperatures and views! I am sooooooooooo excited to get this trip started! I can't wait to see all the new friends and the beautiful state of Alaska again. I am getting restless but I think we are leaving in a few minutes. I hope I have everyting packed because if not looks like I will be buying it in Alaska! Well, I hope everyone is doing well and I will talk to ya'll soon!

Hey everyone!

I am just sitting in the library doing a few checks on weather and updates for Alaska. I am so excited to leave. I am going to Chicago tonight to stay with a friend and then I leave tomorrow morning! YAY! I can't wait. I will keep ya'll updated as the trip goes!

Alaska bound!!!

Hey all!!!

I am quickly approaching my trip to Alaska! I am attending a conference on the Iditarod. In case you don't know what that is check out this website www.iditarod.com and you can find out about it! I am planning on spending a few days afterwards to travel a bit as well. I am going to try and update this page everyday with pictures and things about what all of us teachers are doing up there! I can't wait to meet all these mushers and learn lots of interesting things. I LOVE Alaska and am so glad I get to go back!!!
